Alima, James and family, I am so deeply saddened by and sorry for your loss. I remember Blaise as an inquisitive, intelligent, playful little boy. I hope you all are finding what comfort you can.
My deepest condolences.

James, I'm not sure I know the words to help heal the wounds and grief. But what I can express is my sincere gratitude to you for bringing Blaise into my life. I remember this bright eyed shy young boy coming into my studio, holding a guitar that was just about as big as him and asking me to teach him Muddy Waters "Walking Blues". That was just such a cool and memorable moment...I loved it...And he worked hard on it from the get go and nailed the sucker! It is a blessing for a teacher to have a student like that. (And a parent like that.)May the music help to heal and may he rest in peace. My sincere regards, Stan

I'm so sorry, Blaise, that we couldn't offer you a more humane world. You are well loved and brought light to this world while you were here.

We saw your son's obit today in the Journal! We didn't know him and don't know you, but felt compelled to have a Mass said for the repose of his soul! May God watch over you & your family in the coming days! Eternal memory & blessed repose for Blaise! What a wonderful name! Having been raised Catholic, we always had our throats blessed on the Feast of Saint Blaise!

Hello,
We don´t know each other, but I saw your son´s memorial in the Journal this morning. I rarely look at those in the paper, but your sweet son was so young. I felt like I wanted/was urged to reach out. We too, have a son with mental illness. His was diagnosed at 24 which gave us an advantage of time and some maturity. So, he didn´t get involved with drugs. It is so common for the younger ones to try to self-medicate. We certainly thought we might lose our son early on in his diagnosis as he suffered greatly. We are 14 years into this journey and fortunately have overcome much. I pray for your family, your friends, your beautiful son. I´m so sorry about your loss and wish you some peace, in time, and the memories of what a beautiful boy you have.
