Danette Gurule Obituary
Our beautiful Danette E. Gurule passed away after an illness January 15, 2026. Danette was born May 7, 1965. The loving daughter of Cliff (deceased) and Duina Tanner.
Danette was a graduate of St Pius High class of 1983. Danette was a model employee at Kirtland Credit Union for 29 years. She was passionate about her cooking, baking, she enjoyed dancing, camping, concerts and homemaking. She lived life to the fullest. She leaves a legacy of love to her family and friends. Danette shared a devoted, loving marriage with her husband of 25 years Larry Gurule.
A wonderful mother to Callen (deceased) Avery and fiance, Zoe Whatley, and Karly Gurule. Her grandchildren Joey, Asa, Jakie, Mateo, and Mila will miss their awesome Nana forever. Words cannot say how much she will be missed. She shared her warm welcoming and unique personality with so many. Her brother-in-law and sister, Roman and Tanya Griego. Nephew Alec, wife Julia Griego, their children Gabriel and Andrew. Niece, Carly Griego. Her brother Paul, wife Alicia Tanner. Nieces, Lola and Maile Tanner.
Danette had a loving, resplendent extended family. She had so many loyal friends. Danette lived a remarkable lifetime.
Celebration of life will be held at New Beginnings Church, 4770 Montgomery Blvd., Albuquerque. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1 pm.

Danette was such a sweet person. I was Karli's cheer coach when she was younger and Danette was always smiling, laughing and always offered to help me and the team. May she rest in peace. My heart is with you all.
