I still think of you so often, my friend Yanney, and smile a sad smile...you were one of a kind and I'm grateful to have known you.

I've just learned of Yanney's passing, and I'm flooded with memories of my Country America magazine friend and mentor. She took me out on my first day on the job for margaritas, and that was just the beginning of the laughs we shared. No-nonsense, exceptionally intelligent, and incredibly talented. I admired her greatly. One of a kind.

So sorry to hear this news. Diane gave Old Town tours for Albuquerque Museum for many years as did I. We had such wonderful travel discussions with each other, as we always loved anticipating the next trip. Blessings and healing to her family.

Diane and I met at Iowa State and remained friends for over 50 years. She was a good human being and a great baker. My husband will miss her pear pie.
