Eleanor Boecker Obituary

Eleanor Simson Boecker

Eleanor Simson Boecker of Albuquerque, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She dedicated her life to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and peacefully went home to Heaven. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 60 years, Bruce Boecker. Together they traveled to many places, enjoying the beauty and uniqueness of the world. They also built a beautiful home with a welcoming backyard that many enjoyed.

She was deeply devoted to her church community, where she faithfully served in the diaconate and as a Stephen Minister, offering care, compassion, and encouragement to those in need. She found great joy in preparing and serving meals, often using the gift of hospitality and her famous popcorn to bring people together. Her servant's heart extended beyond her local community when she volunteered as the cook on a mission trip to Colombia. She also had a deep love for studying God's Word and was actively involved in Bible studies including BSF, CBS, and Precepts, where she grew in faith and built lasting friendships.

Ellie was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. Her love was evident in the way she cared for and served her family around the world. Her granddaughters called her "NaiNai," and they shared many special moments reading and cooking together.

Ellie is survived by her daughter, Nancy Boecker; son, Brian Boecker; daughter-in-law, Crystal Boecker; and granddaughters, Bayley, Isabella, and Ellie Rose Boecker.

Services for Ellie will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, Albuquerque, on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with reception following in the gymnasium. Donations in honor of Ellie can be made at the following:
