Frederick Abeyta Obituary
Fred Abeyta died suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2016 when his car that he was working on, collapsed on his chest. Born August 3, 1958 and raised in Albuquerque.
He is survived by Mary Ann Abeyta-Behnke and Don Behnke; Agnes and Randy Lewis; Ralph and Anita Abeyta; Yvonne and Steve Pacheco; Leonard and Debbie Abeyta; Marcelino Abeyta and Lucy Montoya; and Andrea Abeyta and Mike Montoya. Fred has ten nieces, six nephews, seven great nieces, 12 great nephews and one great-great nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Monico Abeyta, and sisters Rebecca and Loraine.
Fred attended West Mesa High School, then Cibola when boundaries were changed. He worked in construction most of his life, but the last two years worked at odd jobs and enjoyed helping some of the homeless and poor in the city by being a caring friend.
Funeral services will be at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on Monday, February 29 starting at 8:00 with the Rosary, Mass at 9:00 and followed by a reception and eulogies at the Parish Hall. Pall Bearers will be: Paul Behnke, Isaiah Abeyta, Tomas Abeyta, Gabriel Pacheco and Leonard Reyes Hunick. Fred will be buried at the Alameda San Carlos Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers mass cards for the repose of his soul may be given, or memorials in his name can be made to the Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless. Envelopes will be provided at the church.

May I offer my condolences to Frederick's family and friends. Death is one of the hardest things we have to go through. A scripture that has brought me comfort is 2 Kings 20:5. Here our creator verifies that "I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. I am healing you". I hope this brings you comfort during this difficult time. I will keep your family in my prayers tonight.
