Gilbert Ortiz Obituary
Gilbert Ortiz Age 65 a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on July 7, 2024. Gilbert had lived in NM for about 30 years. Gilbert retired four years ago from working for UNM Business Office. He enjoyed riding his bicycle through the bosque on a regular basis. He enjoyed spending time with friends, loved music, reading, writing and going to church on Sundays. Gilbert had a quiet gentle spirit and a big heart for people and animals in nature. He cherished family and friends but remained single throughout his life. He will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by parents Gualberto Ortiz and Eva Camacho Ortiz and nephew Fernando Ortiz.
He is survived by sisters Maria Ortiz Perea, Silvia Ortiz Franklin and brothers Manny Ortiz, Oscar Ortiz and Rudy Ortiz, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of Life Service will be held August 9, 2024, 10:30 at Calvary Chapel New Harvest 701 Main St suite a Los Lunas, NM

Gilbert luved his car, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. He cherished it so much, because it was part of his father. He luved lowriders, and car shows. He also luved to ride his bike. I worked with Gil, he was a good friend with a big heart! Gonna miss you Gil! You will always remain in my heart.
