Glen Eric Mellen

Glen Eric Mellen (GEM), 59, Our Beloved Father and Best friend passed away at his home on

3/1/22 in Alb, NM and is now with Our Lord Jesus Christ. He was born 8/31/1962 in New Haven, CT to his beloved parents, Vernon Paul Mellen born 12/11/39 and Dorothy Ann Mellen born 11/6/38 whom he preceded in death.

Glen was a Senior Account Executive with Waste Management and loved his profession and was very loyal to the company. He was always determined to do his Utmost Best in what ever he set his sights on and his hard work continually paid off. Glen loved sports of any kind and was gifted in Baseball as a Pitcher, he loved animals of any kind and his heart was pure.

Glen is survived by his daughter and only child, Taylia A. Mellen whom he loves dearly and his best friend Dana Ellisor-Mellen.

Glen is also survived by his brothers: David Robert Mellen, Christopher Michael Mellen & sisters: Laura Kay Mathews, Lisa Louise Mellen-Jones All of whom he Dearly Loves.

Because Love Never ends..We will see you again,

Multiple times I have tried to post on here but my comments never show up. I think about you a lot dad, despite the hard times. I think about our family a lot and how difficult it was growing up, yet I still think of the times that you and I spent together. I think about how you taught me so many things that I still live by to this day, and I'll always be grateful for that.

Terry and me are devastated to learn of Glens passing.
Terry is especially sad as he and Glen had a special business partnership and friendship. He was a brilliant individual, compassionate and kind. I hope his family finds this and knows how far reaching his light shown.

It will never feel real. I miss you so much. Yesterday was Dad's birthday and I hope you are having fun playing baseball together and mom cheering from the side as she always did. Your family misses you so much. I pray for peace as this is still so hard. So many times I want your open and wisdom. I would ask you stuff and a day or two later I received the book you would write back. You explained yourself so well to make sure I understood what you meant. You were so smart and I trusted your guidance. I miss that.

I know you're not here to read this, but maybe Our Lord will some how make sure you know my feelings for you.

There's no other way for me to express what i need to say to you, So I am Thankful for this page.

This is the day you came into the world. A beautiful baby boy that was Destined to change the life of Dana and Taylia for the better. Things were not always perfect however you never... not once lost sight of our bond. You always said I was your Eternal Love, and you Darling were mine. I miss you so very much, miss being able to pick up the phone at 2am to tell you about my dreams and miss you calling me too.

Alot has happened since you've been gone, some of the things I found out about my heritage would shock and appall you, and I know exactly what you would do with this information because you were never afraid of confrontation and truth, even when we were apart, you were my confidant and protector. Thank you for always being there to fight for me even when I couldn't fight for myself.

You were a great man to your immediate family as well as to your extended family. I'm so Thankful that I was able to experience this One Great Love in my life.

I know you are sleeping in our Lord's Bosom, Happy Birthday Honey l love you forever.

The pain of losing you so young is unbearable. I can't tell you how many times i have grabbed the phone to tell you something and reality hits. I know you pushed me harder than anyone in my life and I know you would be so proud of the changes lately. I have jumped out of my comfort zone and amazed myself and I know that you are watching. Until I see you again, I will hold that special place in my heart for you. My very special big brother, we had a special bond and I feel lost without you.
