James (Jim or Jimmy) Ray Hobbs



James Ray

Hobbs, lovingly known as Jim or Jimmy, passed away November 02, 2022. Born on March 12, 1943 in Carlsbad, NM; Jim lived throughout the Southwest, meeting his wife of 31 years in Tucson, AZ and retiring in Albuquerque, NM. Jim was a banker for over 25 years and worked in Oil and Gas for over 25 years. He was a member of the NM Kiwanis service club, loved gardening, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, traveling with his wife and spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hobbs, his children Brenda Powell (husband Kurt Sr), Kyle Hobbs (wife Molly and her children), Autumn

Ambrogi (husband Jared), and Jessica Moon. He is also survived by his brother Phil Hobbs (wife Barbara) and his nieces (Tonya and Linda). Jim loved his four grandchildren Kurtis Jr. (wife Kelsiedean), Parker, Isaac (who is with Jim in heaven), Lochlan and Elsa; and his two great-grandchildren (Wyatt and Ryliedean). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ida May Hobbs. A celebration of life will be held on January 14th in Albuquerque.
