John McKeever Obituary

John McKeever



John McKeever, 76, beloved Father and Husband, was called to his eternal resting place on September 9, 2021. He entered this world on July 16, 1945 in Valley Stream, NY, born to Edward and Isabelle McKeever.

He is survived by his wife Kamile McKeever; son John McKeever and his wife, Hope; four sisters, Sister Eileen, MaryAnn, Marjorie, Clare; brother Edward. He was blessed through marriage with three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

John served in the Army from 1965 - 1967 and is a decorated Vietnam veteran receiving the high honor of the Combat Infantryman Badge. His unit's bravery was highlighted in books such as Nine Days in May. He had a successful career in helicopter maintenance for over 30 years at Kirtland Air Force Base. He was a lifelong NY Mets fan and loved to fish, cook, and grill.

Services for John were held on Saturday, September 11, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the VFW or St. Thomas Aquinas. Please visit our online guest book for John at
