Lois Marie
Wetzel Giannini died at a family home at the age of 99, on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Lois was born in Pekin, Illinois to George Wetzel and Hilda Oltman Wetzel on October 3, 1922. The family moved to Albuquerque when she was 4 years old.
Lois married Armando "Doc" Giannini on October 1, 1940 and she selflessly devoted her life to family and friends, caring for everyone in need. Her clever wit and remarkable spirit was present until the end.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Harlan, Paul and Robert and by her sister, Patricia Stephens. Lois is survived by her children, Armand and wife Anna, Robert and wife Sally, Arlene and Carol; grandchildren Armand, Michael, Lisa Brunacini, Alegra Rendon, George, Nicholas, Gina Olona, Jocelyn Smith, Ryan Smith, Heather Arnold, Erin, Peter, Victor and Adrienne Padilla; 17 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; as well as other family members and
friends who loved and will miss her greatly. Her passing leaves a vast void in this world but surely brightens her current home.
Memorial Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 619 Copper Ave. NW. A rosary will be recited on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9:30 am. She will then be laid to rest with her beloved husband Armando "Doc" Giannini at Mt Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. SE.
