C'de Baca, Nicholas Charles "Nick"



Nicholas Charles "Nick" C'de Baca, age 60, great-grandson of Eziquiel Cabeza de Baca, the second governor of our beautiful state of New Mexico, was invited by our Heavenly Father to join his mother and father, Consuelo and Nazario, his son Nicholas and his older brother Dan in paradise. Nick was born on Feb. 21, 1955 in El Salvador during his family's extended travels overseas. After graduating from high school Nick began working in the residential construction field before obtaining his contractors license and starting his own company, C'de Baca & Assoc. For years he built custom southwestern style homes in and around the Alb. area before getting involved in real estate development. He had major roles in the development of "Bosque Encantado de C'de Baca" and "Casitas de C'de Baca" both in Bernalillo.

He is survived by his wife Julie; son Michael; Michael's mother Wendy Iverson; brother Robert (Bob) and his wife Lesly; step-children Charlie, Kristen, and Erick; grandchildren Kaden, Neveah, Paige, Chase, Keaton, and Jaxon; along with numerous cousins and many friends. He will be remembered and missed greatly by all.

To honor the memory of Nick, the family is requesting gifts in lieu of flowers to the "Nazario C'de Baca Endowed Scholarship" at New Mexico State Univ.
