Norma Orndorff

March 13, 1943 â€" July 6, 2022

Norma "Skip" Orndorff, 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, of COPD, at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital.

Ms. Orndorff was born March 13, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio. Her father's involvement in the Manhattan Project brought her to Albuquerque as a small child. She lived the rest of her life in her beloved New Mexico.

She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and Harwood Girls School in Albuquerque. She explored English literature at the University of New Mexico and 'studied' golf at New Mexico State University. Exceptionally talented in abstract reasoning, she worked in technical capacities at Sandia Laboratories and government contractor Sparton Southwest. She was a poet, tennis enthusiast and early adopter of digital devices and games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Martin Orndorff and Charlotte Sillery Orndorff. She is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Orndorff Kelley and brother-in-law, Donald Patrick Kelley, of Rio Rancho, NM.

In lieu of flowers and to honor her desire to serve others, her family kindly encourages donations to the COPD Foundation

(copdfoundation.org).
