Altagracia Olga Orona "Olga Varoz", philanthropist and matriarch of the Varoz family from Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM passed away at the age of 89 at her home on October 27, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ted Varoz Sr. Olga was born on June 18, 1927. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1944 and graduated from the University of NM in 1976. Olga is survived by her sons; Dr. Theodore L. Varoz and wife Carrie, Timothy Varoz, Thomas Varoz; daughters, Suzzette Miera and husband Gerald; Camille Varoz; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and family members. On behalf of the family, they wish to express their appreciation to the New Mexico Cancer Center and the Legacy Hospice Staff for the quality care they provided to Olga in the comfort of her home.

Olga's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Parish (619 Copper Ave. NW) Mrs. Varoz will be laid to rest with her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John, Joseph, Matthew, Dr. Jessie, Andrew, and Seth Varoz, Robert, Michael and Matthew Miera, Clement, Yei and Zhon Rogers. Never had know anyone like you my dear friend. I am so sorry for your prolonged illness. You remained in love w your Blessed Mother & Our Lord with a great faith. I knew you as a Legion of Mary fellow member whose sisterhood I will always treasure. You treasured your dishes and hospitality and offered graciousness to all your offerings. Mom, you filled your 5 children, grandchildren and greats, family and friends with love, kindness and social graces that surpassed all. I thank my brother Tim who was there with you 24/7 to love and care for you. Both of you had a special relationship.
