Paul Crowder Obituary
Paul Crowder, 74, of Albuquerque, passed peacefully on July 21, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Roy and Jean Crowder on June 5, 1947 in Clovis New Mexico. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Star Crowder in 1970 who survives him. Paul is also survived by his loving son Douglas, adoring grandchildren Graesen, Ava, Charlotte & Michelle, sister Carol, brothers Randy, Tommy & Jay. He was known to many of us as just "Crowder" or "Papa Crowder". He wore that moniker as a badge of honor and treated all as his own. With a tender heart nothing would joy him more than a hug from his granddaughters. As an avid reader he was always willing to share knowledge with those around him. He was and forever will be loved and respected by many and he remained courageous until the end. As much as we may try there are not enough words to describe the honorable man Crowder was. His legacy is the love and kindness he showed to family and strangers alike. "Papa Crowder" the man, the myth, the legend.

Star, I was thinking about you today, my upholstery teacher, and friend. Went looking for you on internet and saw the news of Paul's passing. Not what you want to find, when looking for an old friend. You did so much for me, I loved your stories, you were so funny. You were always so helpful. My heart is sad for you and your family.
I didn't know Paul that well, but from the way you spoke about him I always felt he was a loving and caring husband, father and friend. A very special man, so loved, who will truly be missed. My heart, my prayers go out to you and your family. Hugs

Paul trained me to install residential phones. If more at the phone company were like Paul I might have stayed. Instead, I've been peacefully retired since '84. No doubt Paul will be missed by many. He was a straight shooter as we would say and that was an uncommon attribute. Rest in peace, Paul. It was good to have known you.

I remember son Doug´s high school graduation after party and how friendly and gracious Star and Paul were, and how proud they were of their son.
Just last week Doug recounted to me and my son Adam, his very recent road trip he and and Paul had enjoyed. As Doug recounted the adventures he and his Dad experienced, we could the see the pleasure on his face and the joy in his eyes from these memories.
Paul was a good man, and solid.

Paul, we miss you so much. Your kindness and strenght will be with myself my daughter's and all 12 of my grandchildren. We are proud to have met you, & for being in our lives.
