Ralph Goodwin Obituary
Ralph "Bud" Goodwin passed 10/4/2025.
Bud was born on 12/9/1939, in Alamosa, Colorado, and graduated from Highland High School in 1958. Bud served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hornet before returning to Albuquerque to work as a butcher in the family-owned Boy's Supermarket. He had a successful sales career with Brach's Candy and Safilo Eyeglass Frames. Bud had quick wit, humor, and captivating stories.
In Albuquerque, Bud was a member of the Corvette Club and ABQ Boat club. He loved dancing at the Caravan. He was a proud 50-year Mason and dedicated Shriner.
Bud retired to Sunrise Beach, Texas, where he fully embraced lake life.
Service will be 11/08/2025, 11:am., 105 E. Lakeshore Dr., Sunrise Beach, Texas

I was one of Bud's optical customers for many years. I always enjoyed visiting with him, and we had a great partnership. He was one of the great, old school frame reps. Sorry to hear of his passing. Godspeed Bud!

Bud and I were members of the New Mexico Corvette Association back in the late 60s .. he was a great friend .. always a lot of fun . I remember drag racing with him after he purchased his new 1968 C3 Corvette .. good times .. great memories ! Jay Snelling

Donna We have such fond memories of you and Bud, from our Highland Lakes Shrine Club get-togethers. GOD just pulled one of his own closer to him. We are so sorry for your loss. The world has been a better place because of him. Our prayers are with you.

Well, Donna, I can truly say that my memory go back to the beginning with Bud. I remember the night you met him walking down the sidewalk in front of the cotton club. After a brief greeting, he was going in and we were leaving. If my memory is correct, he suggested that we make a U-turn.!!! I still have the poem I wrote for your wedding. So many good memories. Love you girlfriend please call me when you have a minute to talk. My heart breaks for you. Prayers for the people y'all loved and the lives you touched.

I am really missing my sweet stepfather. He shows up in the funniest places that only the Holy Spirit could convey. From a song of the Lord's Prayer or a "marvelous" steak. Our loved one's' spirit are around us if we look and listen. And I'm comforted knowing that Bud is with Jesus and all the Saints.
