Ray D. Tucker, 78, died on

2/17/22 after a long illness with OPMD and cancer. Judy, his wife of 41 years, was by his side.

Ray was born in Pueblo, CO on

7/28/1943 to Elizabeth and Delbert Tucker who proceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife Judy and his stepchildren, Lora and Dan Kniffin have been a huge support. Ray is mourned by his brother Tom, his daughters Laura Tucker and Rene Archuleta and son Paul Tucker all of Denver. He also leaves many fond memories to numerous much-loved stepchildren, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren scattered across the country.

Ray graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo and went on to USC on a scholarship in Food Service Management. His whole career was in food service sales, delighting in meeting his customers' needs all over the state.

In retirement, Ray and Judy spent many happy years traveling in their RV around the country, including Alaska and Mexico, finally settling in Green Valley for their winters.

As a Christian, Ray was called to serve others, particularly those in need. He was a Red Cross volunteer responding to a hurricane and many fires. He was active in the East Mountain Lion's Club, serving as President one year. He was on the Board of Bethel Storehouse, serving as treasurer for 5 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church and served as an acolyte. Ray was also an amateur radio operator and ran 2 "nets", often having over 90 other "hams" check in from all over the Western United States. But most of all, Ray is remembered as a friend who brought good humor and love to many.
