Robert Gleason Obituary
Robert Gleason, 92, beloved husband, father, and papa, was called Home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. He entered this world on April 18, 1930, in Albuquerque, NM, born to William and Lelia Belle Gleason. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gault; son, Daniel Gleason and wife, Angie; son, Thomas Gleason and wife, Jenny; daughter, Jean Gleason; son, Nathan Gleason and wife, Janice; son, Mark Gleason and wife, Virginia; and son, Allen Gleason and wife, Nancy; and many grandchildren; great- grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Nelma Jean Gleason; his parents; his brothers, William and John Gleason; his sisters, Frances Stevens and Margaret Harrison; and his granddaughters, Angela Gleason, Amanda Gleason, and Shannon Gleason. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps and was a World War II era veteran.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, 12:00 p.m., at FRENCH â€" University followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

Although I didn´t know Mr. Gleason personally I have a wonderful friendship with his daughter in law and son. He is a testament to the fantastic people they are. Sending light to the family with the wish that the sadness you may now feel gives way to fond and special memories of your Robert. Thoughts and prayers your way.

My condolences to the family of Robert Gleason. He was our faithful and friendly mailman for decades as I was growing up. I'm a "senior citizen" now and a few months ago I saw him at the Highland Senior Center. I walked up to greet him, told him my name, and asked if he remembered me. With a twinkle in his eyes, he replied, "Well of course.....1305 Girard !!!" and we chatted for a bit. Great experience and a great guy!
