Rudolph (Rudy) Koranyi (9/6/1945-9/10/2023) passed peacefully at home at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Debbie, children Alexandra (Tibor), Eric, and Cassandra (Peterson) and grandchildren Ava, Sydney, Delilah, Callan and Connor. He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolf and Magdolina, and brother Sandor, all from Dombovar, Hungary. Rudy emigrated to the US in 1964 as a political refugee. He served in the Army from 1965-1967 and became a US citizen in 1969. He received a Political Science degree from CalState Los Angeles after his Army service and worked as a manager for most of his working years at various retail stores. Rudy lived most of his adult life in the Los Angeles, California area before moving to Rio Rancho/Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1996.

The family is so incredibly grateful to all the Hospice de la Luz staff and Dr. Ortega. They made it possible for Rudy to remain at home with comfort and dignity for the last year of his life as his health degraded from long-term effects of a 2011 hemorrhagic stroke.
