Sandra Hobbs Obituary

Sandra Sue Hobbs

Sandra Sue Whitney-Hobbs, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 at the age of 80. She was a second-generation native of Albuquerque, NM, born February 8, 1944. Daughter of Henry and Lou Whitney and sister to Linda Marmon. She graduated from Highland High School in 1962. She went on to college at NMSU, where she met Gary Hobbs. She was married 59 amazing years, and loved and cherished three children, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mom was a beloved educator for 25 years at La Cueva High School.

She held an unwavering faith in Jesus, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She loved hiking the Sandias and travelling with her family. She loved making artwork, each piece a gesture of love. She had an effortless grace, "a magic". She made all sorts of ordinary things special. She danced her way through life and into the hearts of those she loved.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sandy Hobbs will be held at 10:00 Friday, December, 27th, 2024 at Hoffmantown church. Family, friends, and community members, please join us to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate her life.
