William Childers Obituary
William Lawson Childers, age 71, passed away at home on Saturday, March 28, 2015 after a long brave struggle with cancer. He was born July 20, 1943 in Albuquerque, NM.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell in 1997 and William Childers in 1972; sisters, Glenda Shirlene in 1933 and Wilma Geraldine in 2006; brothers, Wayne Louis in 1937 and Kenneth Vance in 2013.
William is survived by his son, William Lawson Childers II of Centennial, CO and daughter, Cynthia Kay Childers of Parker, CO; granddaughter, Grace McKayla Childers of CO; grandson, Jack Dylan McEvoy of Parker, CO; brother Bruce Childers of Albuquerque; sisters Anita Westphal of Rio Rancho, NM, Sharon Harrison of Phoenix, AZ and Deborah Packard of Jemez Springs, NM; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.
The family wishes to thank Albuquerque Heights, a skilled Nursing Care Center, Albuquerque Police and EMT services for their loving care. Mr. Childers was owner/manager of CEI, Main Beeper, Stormin Norman and Cabinets of Dreams.
He was a member of The Albuquerque Tennis Club, The Albuquerque Country Club, and The American Legion.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW ABQ on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 4:00 PM. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008.
