Wilson Murray Obituary
Wilson Antony Charles Murray: Taken too early as the result of an accident on the 27th of September 2022 in New Zealand. Treasured son of Leicester and Laura Murray (nee Priddy) brother to Molly his Jack Russell dog. Born in New Zealand on the 6th of December 2000. Cherished grandson of Holt and the late Mildred Priddy (Santa Fe, New Mexico), the late Peter and Janet Murray of (Wharanui, Marlborough, New Zealand). Loved nephew of the late Catherine and Alan Bugg, Dr. Nelson Priddy, Dr. Diane Preziosi (Anchorage, Alaska); Marjorie and Andrew Cunningham, and Phyllis Hyde, (New Zealand). Loved cousin of Quinten Bugg, Ella and Declan Priddy; Matthew, Katie Cunningham, and Amy Hyde. Wilson had an idyllic childhood growing up at Wharanui, a pastoral hill country farm on the East Coast of Marlborough, New Zealand, that overlooks the South Pacific Ocean and is backed by the Kaikoura Mountain Ranges. His childhood was filled with many friends and a loving family.Wilson climbed trees and built huts, learned to sail and grew with every opportunity he was given through his school years. Friends retained through the years who laughed with him were firmly kept close. Wilson always returned home donning his boots and mucking about in typical Kiwi style, sharing his passion for Wharanui. Firmly aware of his American roots, he always considered the United States another home. Heading to his family in Alaska in 2019, Wilson grabbed a shovel, learned the local banter, and cemented his future. He was in his third year of study in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Canterbury, New Zealand. The existing St Oswalds family chapel is to be repaired following an earthquake. As Wilson loved his home, a memorial will be incorporated in his honor. Wilson's funeral is to be held in the Christ's College Chapel in Christchurch, New Zealand on Thursday September 13th, 2022 at 3:00pm (note NZ date and time). A livestream link to the service is:

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Wilson when he was in Texas for Christmas..what a wonderful young man. I was deeply saddened to learn of his tragic passing. Try to remember that Wilson is still your beloved son, and he still loves you..Prayers for your entire family...

Prayers continue for you and the family. Wilson was a fabulous young man who had many victories in his short life. He will be remembered for being an honest person who loved everyone. He was smart and very resourceful and quite funny with his dry humor. He was mature beyond his years and was a very hard worker. I know you are very proud of him and he will be sorely missed.
