Barry Coburn Obituary

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home of Opelousas Chapel for Barry Glenn Coburn, age 63, who passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his mother-in-law's residence in Opelousas. Mr. David Broussard, of the Church of Christ in Bayou Jack, will officiate at the services. Mr. Coburn was a native of Palmetto and a resident of Opelousas. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Coburn of Opelousas; two stepsons, David Krull of Palmetto and Andre Kennison of Port Barre; three stepdaughters, Laurie Williams and her husband, Jimmy, of Krotz Springs, Allison Krugger and her husband, Jeff, of Smyrna, TN, and Ashley Deshotel of Port Barre; two brothers, Gary Coburn and his wife, Cheryl, and Lonnie Coburn and his wife, Bernie, all of Palmetto; and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Thomas Coburn and the former Mildred Brinkley. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.
