Barry Dupre Obituary

A private Memorial Mass will be held at a later date for Barry Gerard Dupre at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA with Father Christopher Cambre officiating. A private Inurnment will be held at the Franklin Cemetery immediately following the Memorial Mass. A native of Franklin, LA, and resident of New Orleans, LA he passed away Late August of 2021 at his home in New Orleans, LA. He was employed at St. Mary Co-op for many years and also employed at Morton Salt. He enjoyed fishing, camping, singing, and playing his guitar. He is survived by, his three children, Beau Dupre of New Iberia, Mindy Derouen and her husband Jacob Derouen of New Iberia and Dylan Dupre of New Iberia; his grandson, Hudson Derouen; his parents, Harold and Betty Dupre of Jeanerette; his 5 siblings, Bryan Dupre and his wife Donna of Scott, Lisa St. Germain and her husband Glen of Jeanerette, Danny Dupre and his wife Angel of Jeanerette, Joan Viator and her husband Bart of Jeanerette and Marlene Tanco and her husband Dave of Mesquite, TX. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Adam and Lelia Dupre and Arthur and Harriet Benoit. Memorials preferred to the New Orleans Mission 1130 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113. You can sign the guest register book and/or send condolences at www.davidfuneralhome.org.
