Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 7, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Daniel Niel Hargett III, 36, who passed away on January 1, 2022. Paul Neel, Pastor of Pastoral care of Our Savior's Church – Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hargett, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Daniel N. Hargett Jr. and Rachel Evans. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on May 5, 1985. He attended Lafayette High School and went on to study business at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He was an avid reader, writer, and enjoyed all things related to music. His faith and his family were the two most important things in his life. Nicknamed "the phoenix," Daniel always rose above each and every trial life threw at him. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Rachel Lee Evans; brother, Nicholas Colton Hargett and his son, Colton Wayne Hargett; grandmother, Yvette Bonin Hargett Judice (Ronald); uncle, Lloyd G. Hargett II and his children, Lloyd G. Hargett III, Victoria Hargett, Lola Hargett, and Saylor Hargett; aunt, Elizabeth Hargett Patridge and her children, Luke Rudder and Harley Patridge; aunt, Heidi Hargett Perry (Adam) and her children, Thomas Perry, Gresham Perry, and Drake Perry; aunt, Dorian Evans and her daughter, Kristin Hebert Richard (Dex). He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Neil Hargett Jr.; maternal grandparents, Guy and Beatrice Evans; paternal grandfather, Daniel Neil Hargett Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, Garland and Aline Bonin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Luke Rudder, Harley Patridge, Victoria Hargett, Kristin Richard, Saylor Hargett, Kristopher Hargett, and Paul Zerbe.
