Gloria Dell Broussard

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018, at an 11:00 a.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Gloria Dell Broussard, age 78, the former Gloria Dell Breaux, who passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at University Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Deacon Kyle Faber will officiate at the services. Mrs. Broussard was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She retired with over twenty years of employment from Ramada Inn, later known as La Quinta Motel. She was a past parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church and a current parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She loved to keep up with The Stories and the local news. Survivors include three sons, Orien Joseph Frank and his wife, Sherlisa, Oris James Frank and his wife, Marlene, and Nelton Broussard Jr., all of Lafayette; three sisters, Margaret Lawrence, Patricia Angelle and her husband, Paul, all of Lafayette, and Rose Marie Savoy of Carencro; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelton Broussard Sr.; her parents, Eric Breaux and the former Beulah Babineaux; one daughter, Shelia Ann Broussard; five brothers, John Eric, Allen, Clifton, Charles and Joseph; four sisters, Laura Veazie and her husband, Herman, Eva Dale Breaux, Elsie Breaux and Ruby Breaux Guillory; two brothers-in-law, Wilbert Lawrence and Clayton Savoy; and two grandchildren, Oriel Victor and Corey Broussard. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
