Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Joann Mildred Tatterson, 92, who passed away peacefully in Chattanooga, TN on April 2, 2024. Rev. Gary Jared, Pastor of Stuart Heights Baptist Church in Chattanooga, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Tatterson, a longtime resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Carl and Mildred Cramer. Born on October 23, 1931, in Akron, OH, Joann moved to Lafayette with her late husband in 1981. She worked for over 30 years in the Lafayette General Hospital system and went back to the hospital after retirement to volunteer as needed. Joann was also involved in many other volunteer programs throughout the Lafayette area. She is survived by her children, Glenn A. Tatterson (Marilyn), Patricia Tatterson Caillouet (Tom), and Nancy Tatterson Jared (Gary); 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Samuel L. Tatterson; son, Dennis Moore; brother, Lyle Davis; sisters, Garnett, Winnie, Margaret, and Helen. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visiting hours will continue on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
