John Ernest Verucchi Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for John Ernest Verucchi, Jr., 82, who passed away on March 8, 2021. Reverend Weldon Moak, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Broussard, will conduct the funeral services. John began his career as a high school teacher and retired from the Oil and Gas industry as a Chemical Engineer. Mr. Verucchi, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late John Ernest Verucchi, Sr. and the former Leta Mullen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Emily Verucchi, three daughters, Melony Verucchi, Jennifer Broussard, and Sharon Campbell and her husband, Bryan; three grandchildren, Christian Broussard, Gavin Broussard, and Loraine Campbell, and sister, Sonia Blaney and her husband, Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Juanita Hall. The family requests that visiting hours be observed in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
