Joyce Crandall, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Our Lady of the Oaks in Lafayette, LA. Joyce was born December 6, 1956, in Irvington, NJ and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. Joyce grew up in NJ and graduated from Frank H. Morell High School, Irvington, NJ, Class of 1974. Dedicated in her profession, Joyce worked as a Cardiac Cath Technician at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ while she lived in NJ. She then moved to Charlotte, NC and worked as a Cardiac Cath Technician at a local hospital. While there, she met her husband Mark Crandall and moved with Mark to Lafayette, LA where she worked as an Eyeglass Technician. Joyce most enjoyed spending time with friends and her brothers down the shore at Cryan's, Mary`s Husband Pub and Fess's in New Jersey, to name a few local dives and bars. After she moved out of NJ, she enjoyed watching Nascar and the Saints with Mark. Joyce is survived by her beloved brothers, Charles Steinmetz, of Lafayette, LA, Carl Steinmetz and his wife Donna, of Union, NJ, John Steinmetz, of LA and David Steinmetz and his wife Charlotte, of Scott, LA; six nieces, Terry, Chrissy, Stephanie, Megan, Hannah and Alyssa; one grand-niece, Erica and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jack and Geraldine Steinmetz and her husband, Mark Crandall. The family wishes to thank LAMM Hospice of Crowley, LA for "their care and compassion for our beloved Joyce".
