Karen Warnken Domingue

Karen Warnken Domingue, age 67, of Panama City, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Karen was born on February 3, 1954, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Delta Heritage Academy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ashton and Lucille (Rhodes) Warnken and her brother, Ashton Warnken. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Domingue, Panama City, their two sons, Joshua Domingue, Panama City, and Jordan Domingue, Panama City, her sister, Betty Warnken Guerra, Panama City Beach, and her grandsons, Kaleb and Andrew Domingue of Lynn Haven, Florida, as well as a bounty of cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law in Louisiana and Mississippi. Karen was one of the fortunate few to have a career that matched one of her passions, reading, as a long-time librarian. She was also a natural-born businesswoman and owned a decoration company, a pool hall, and a restaurant; however, she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother, and "Meme" to her grandsons. She enjoyed cooking, everything New Orleans & Louisiana, her Saints and her Tigers, and card games. But above all, she relished her lifetime spent with her beloved husband and soulmate of 45 years, Robert Domingue. Karen was known for her free spirit, quick-wit, Cajun phrases, and open heart. She was truly a bright light to all those around her. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
