Memorial Services for Shayne Joseph Burke, 21, will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Gethsemane Church of God in Christ, 701 E. Pinhook, Lafayette, LA at 6 pm. Shayne Joseph Burke was born August 19, 2000, in Lafayette, LA. He passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Shayne attended Northside High School in Lafayette, LA and valued his education. Shayne enjoyed making music and playing basketball. But above all else, he loved his family and was very protective of them and always concerned about their wellbeing. Shayne was a good person, and we are extremely grateful for the memories we have of times spent together with him. All those that knew and loved him will truly miss his kind and endearing spirit. Through our faith we know that he is resting eternally with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Shayne leaves forever footprints on the heart of his mother, Nisha Burke, eldest brother Drevon; two younger brothers, Christopher and Joshua, and older sister Erica; daughter Alisha; goddaughter Cazilee, and numerous family and friends. Shayne now reunites in heaven with his older brother Eric Robinson.
