Funeral Services will held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Thu Ngoc Luong, a Registered Nurse and resident of Lafayette, LA, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2021, at the age of 35. Minister and friend, Julie Gauthreaux will lead the funeral services. Thu was born on June 7, 1986 to Dat Luong and Ngoc Luong. She graduated from Nicholls State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Nursing. Thu worked as a Registered Nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes Burn unit and Park Place Surgical Hospitals. On July 27, 2019, she became engaged to Benjamin McElroy, her best friend and the love of her life. Thu was a daughter, sister, aunt, nurse, pastor, and to most people, a life-long friend. When she entered a room, her soul would light up the room and her personality would dance in everyone's presence. She loved to travel and explore new foods. She had a very whimsical and lighthearted personality. The unmatched level of care she gave to her patients was evident with the outpouring of love that only Thu could give. She loved her life fast, young, wild, free, and without regrets. She will be missed by all who met her. Thu is survived by her parents; Fiance, Benjamin McElroy; brothers, Phuc (Damon) Luong and Quy Luong; sister, Thuy Luong; niece, Olivia Luong; nephew, Jack Luong; and our girls, Zoe and Mocha. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Friday, August 6 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM The visitation will continue Saturday, August 7, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will be concluded on Sunday, August 8, with hours observed from 8:00 AM until the time of service. A reception, with light refreshments, will be held immediately following service. Flowers, offerings and condolences may be delivered to Delhomme Funeral Homes on 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA.
