Gregory Moore Obituary

Gregory Lewis "Gregg" Moore, 70, of Brighton, passed away peacefully at his home after along illness on Sunday, September 14, 2025 Gregg was born on January 25, 1955 to Lewis and Esther Moore of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Gregg's dad was in the military and they lived in many places - from Alaska to Puerto Rico. His final move was to Covington where he graduated from Covington High School. He lived his life to the fullest and always strived to be the best. He was a Certified Master Mechanic and was very successful. There was not anything he could not fix. He worked hard to take care of his family. Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Esther Moore. He is survived by his wife, Linda Moore; three sons, Matthew (Marcie) Moore, Levi Moore, and Lucas Moore; two daughters, Lydia (Billy) Carder; two step-children, Phillip (Sarah) Rowan and Lisa (Aaron) Teaford and Elizabeth Moore; his sister, Lisa McClain and 11 grandchildren. Gregg will be truly missed. He tried to help anyone he could. He was a very special man. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Gregg's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
