Steve Cook

It is with heavy hearts and grateful memories that we announce the passing of Steven W. Cook, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Steve had a way of making people laugh, even in life's hardest moments. He brought light to any room, whether it was a quick one-liner, a playful prank or his smile. Behind the laughter was a heart full of generosity. Steve gave without hesitation - his time, his energy, his wisdom and his love. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't gotten to know yet. From lending a helping hand to offering words of advice or wisdom, his kindness touched countless lives. To his family, he was the rock, the constant, the story teller, a source of unconditional love, and a kind, loving, supportive and funny father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Steve is survived by his son, Schylar Cook and Deedra Hamilton; his wife, Lisa Cook; his daughter, Felicia Marshall; two grandchildren, Jaise and Blaine Marshall; his sisters, Janice Ferrell, Cathy Chandler, Cheryl Goode; his niece Crystal Cousar; his nephew Justin Hill; his great niece, CarlyBrooke Cousar, and his great-great nephew Madden Reise Claybon, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins who will continue to carry on his love and laughter and legacy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Covington Funeral Home from 4-6 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 6 pm. Though he is no longer here in person to make us laugh and smile, his laughter will forever echo in our hearts.
