Barbara O'Neill Obituary

Barbara B. O'Neill, 77, of Pinellas Park, Florida, widow of Robert H. O'Neill, Jr., died Sunday May 26, 2013 at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, May 17, 1936, she was the daughter of George R. Bussiere and Irene L. (Bourget) Bussiere and a resident of Marlborough and Burlington, Connecticut before retiring in Pinellas Park, Florida 22 years ago. She attended Lesley University and held a Bachelor degree from Fitchburg State Teachers College and a Masters Degree from Central Connecticut State College and was an elementary school teacher prior to marrying Robert and starting a family.

She leaves a son, Robert H. O'Neill III of Alaska and a daughter, Natalie O'Neill Thompson of Rhode Island; a sister, Sr. Natalie Bussiere of New Mexico as well as 3 grandchildren, Shannon, Brooke and Ryan Thompson.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on June 15th at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster, Massachusetts. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760.

Nat and Rob, my heart is with you. Barb, was a second mom to me! So many memories of her when we were growing up in Burlington. If it wasn't for her blowing the whistle for you both to come home for dinner, I think half the neighorhood would have never made it home on time! She will be missed!
