I was a kid 13 years old riding my skate board behind the Elks club in Roanoke when this guy wearing a tam with a beard down passed his neck, an earring hanging about 2 inches from his ear came out and yelled at me. He looked like a large version of Charles Manson carrying a huge chef knife in his hand. He wasn't yelling at me to stop skating, in fact he said to me in a very gruff voice." HEY BOY DO YOU WANNA MAKE $50" I'm thinking ax murderer lol. But I looked up at him and was like for what? He then asked me if I wanted to wash dishes and being 13 years old I was like $50 hell yeah! Well that was the 1st time I ever worked in a restaurant. He kinda took me under his wing and taught me how to cook when I wasn't busy. Those who know me know I became a CHEF and I have cussed him many times over the years for getting me into the restaurant business. That was 32 years ago and since then him and myself became very very close friends. Over the years I would call him up when I had a culinary question that I couldn't find the answer to and he always had the answer. As time went on his health got really bad due to a rare disease but he was then and always was my friend. Someone that you couldn't help but respect. He worked for me in the later years and when it came to cooking he was not just good he was great. Cheers to you Dave I love you brother and I will miss you!!!!! R.I.P. DAVID RICHARDSON
