Deborah Gallup Obituary

Deborah "Deb" Rae Gallup (60) was surrounded by her loving family in Duluth, Minn., on Sept. 24, 2016, when she was called home to the care of her God.
Deb moved to Alaska in 1963, where she resided until 1978, at which time she moved to Minnesota.
Throughout Deb's school years in Anchorage, Alaska, she was active in the schools' music and dance programs. Her passion for dancing continued throughout her lifetime. Deb enjoyed participating in track and field as a sprint runner and was an avid snow machine racer and pit-crew member for her father and the Hell Cats racing team. Deb was an all-around fan of snow machine racing.
Deb's children were her life. While her children were growing up, you could find her involved as a bowling coach, mat mom (wrestling), and practicing with her daughters' marching band and softball team.
In 2010, Deb moved back home to Alaska, where she so enjoyed watching the eagles soar and the wildlife that entertained her from her living room windows.
In 2013, when the yearnings of her grandchildren tugging at her heart strings became too great to be ignored, she then moved back to Minnesota.
Deb is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Gallup and Sylvia (Sash) Hendrickson.
Deb is survived by her three children, Dennis J. Strenge of Zimmerman, Minn., Sharla Strenge of Anchorage and Andria Strenge of Hackensack, Minn.
Deb leaves behind seven grandchildren, Cassie, Dre, Marshall, Raymond and Hunter (children of Dennis), Charles and Cullen (children of Andria); four sisters, Sherry Matthews of Anchorage, Laura Carmichael of Anchorage, Samantha Boldt of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Acey Douglas, of Anchorage.
Deb's warm and tender heart will be dearly missed.
