Miss Elizabeth will be missed so much by many. I have yet to meet another person like her. Even during her last months of battling cancer, she still cared more about those around her than her own illness. She and Miss Tania became our dear friends from Anchor Lutheran preschool when our daughter, Jayda, was in their classroom. We were fortunate to have Tania begin watching our three children , up until recently. Elizabeth was an inspiration for all of us. She was fun-loving, caring, and one of the funniest people I had ever met. She gave so much love to her own daughters and treated my children like family. Her little "Mason-Man" was so lucky to spend so many days with her. My heart breaks for all of her "girls" and Seana, but Tania is a toughy, and she will always have Elizabeth helping her from above. Though she was with us only a short time, we will never forget her and feel blessed to have known her and become part of her Alaska family. We love you Tania, Kenna, Koral, and Braelyn. May God continue to give you strength.

To her family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Elizabeth from my classes with her at UAA. What I will remember about her most is how kind and caring she was. Elizabeth always seemed to have a smile no matter what the situation. I want to send my hope and prayers to her partner and children. When she talked about her family it was clear how much she loved you. That love will always be with you.

Me and my family are so blessed to have known a beautiful and wonderful person such as Elizabeth. I would have so much to tell about her and the list of great things about her would never end ! She was my BEST friend and like a sister to me ! I miss our midnight WalMart trips and endless phonecalls and phone tack games and so much much more. I miss her almost daily silly messages on the answermaschine that always would bring a smile to my face no matter how bad of a day it had been .
Its so hard but I am glad you don't feel no more pain and you can move freely now . We love you dearly and will never ever forget you .

Tania,
We both lost a very important part of our lives. She was my sister since 3 years old. I believe that we were blessed with an Angel and that is why she had to leave us so suddenly. I know as we go through our lives Liz will always be looking down on us and taking care of us.
Thanks for taking such great care of her in her time of need.
Please keep in touch with the family,
love always

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

She is recalling all of the fun times they had together. We will love and miss you always Elizabeth.

Seana,
You know you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember you, me and Elizabeth taking Algebra in Undergrad school together. If it wasn't for Elizabeth, I am not sure I would have ever passed that class.
I remember the loving bookmark Elizabeth made for you; it expressed how much she loves her Mom. Elizabeth's eyes always lit up when she talked about you, Seana.
Keep the teddy bear she made you close. Know how much she loves you, even today.
I have been blessed with both, Elizabeth and you in my life. I wish I could have met the girls and Tania. I was looking forward to them all coming back to Arizona in August.
Tania - I know we have not met, but I know you must be a great person for Elizabeth to love you so much. I will keep you and the girls in my prayers. I send my hugs to you all and wish I could help you through this time in your lives. Elizabeth will always be with you and watch over and the girls.
God Bless you, Elizabeth -- we all love and miss you. Don't cause to much havoc up there :) Until next time...

Elizabeth was my favorite Gemini. She and I used to gang up on her Mom whenever possible. In my experience she was intelligent, worldly beyond her years, quick on her feet, had an incredible loyalty for the people she loved, funny and most of all "I will miss her terribly" for myself and all of us that she loved.

I was first impressed by Elizabeth when I met her kind and loving daughter Kenna. It is a huge testimony to the quality of the parents when a child is kind, and Kenna is one of the most consistently kind children I have ever met. She befriended my daughter Skye at preschool and through them I gained friends in Tania and Elizabeth. Elizabeth impressed me as a mother with strong values who wanted her children to make good choices, show kindness, and love above all else. As I watched her battle this disease, her biggest concern was for her family, and yet she always had hope. I believe part of that continued hope is that her legacy of love and kindness will live on in Tania and Kenna and Koral because they had the blessing of her presence in their lives. She wanted to be a teacher and to me, she was. She taught me how to maintain faith in the face of challenge, to trust God even when you get bad news, and to try every option possible, even when it hurts, because you value your family so much. She was self-sacrificing, generous, and a committed and faithful person who never lost hope. That doesn't end with her passing. Hope lives on in all of us. Thank you, Elizabeth, for being an inspiration to me and my children and for teaching me more of what it means to be a mother and a friend. May God uphold Tania and all three girls and surround you all with his love and peace. It was Elizabeth's greatest wish for you.

I did not know Elizabeth as well as some, but I am deeply saddened by her passing. I went to school with her at UAA and enjoyed her conversation in many of my classes. The topic of most of those conversations was about children, especially her two beautiful little girls. She was never short of stories about them or pictures for that matter! I could tell how proud she was to have them in her life! The most important things I will remember about Elizabeth are her absolute positive nature and the kindness that she possessed. She always had a compliment to give to her fellow classmates, she always asked how our families were doing and she always lent a hand whenever she felt it would help. I admire her unyielding kindness and gentle spirit and will strive to model those characteristics in my own life.
I extend my deepest sympathy to all of Elizabeth’s family and pray that the beautiful memories that she has left on your hearts will help ease you through this time of sorrow.

Though I never met Elizabeth, I've been praying for her and her partner and the girls and expected baby.
I am a friend of her Aunt Sandy, sister to Seana.
It's difficult to understand why some leave this earth so early. I pray you will be sustained by the beautiful memories.

Ken and I are so blessed to have had Elizabeth in our lives. She truly was like a daughter to us and we will miss her more than words can express. We'll miss her pretty smile and quick wit (it takes a lot to keep pace with "dad's" wit but he met his match in Elizabeth!). We'll miss her and Tania's conniving little pranks (like staying at our home while visiting in AZ and racing Ken and I to our bed at bedtime because it was more comfortable than the guest room.) I'll miss her voice when answering the phone and hearing "Is this my most favorite Joanie in the whole wide world?" Even though we would have preferred to have Elizabeth with us for many more years, we are grateful to God for lending her to us as long as He did. She will be in our hearts and memories forever. Our prayers continue to be with Seanna, Tania and the girls. May the Lord keep you all under his care.
All our love, "the bestest daddy" and "your most favorite Joanie" in the whole world.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Shauna, Tania and the girls. We love you all so much. We will miss Elizabeth so much. She was such a wonderful aunt to our girls and they love her very much. I often remember the little saying, "wowsy" she would say to the girls and sometimes catch myself saying it too. I also think of Elizabeth every time I see cherry pepsi (NOT cherry coke). There are lots of memories I have of her in the years I have known her and thought of her as a sister. I love you all.

Our deepest condolences go to all of Elizabeth's family. The one thing that stood out about Elizabeth was her dedication and devotion to her children. Tania and Elizabeth gave there family so much love and it was obvious how much they truly enjoyed their family. Although we did not see Elizabeth often we will miss her very much. For Tania, we know we can not lesson the sorrow, but we hope you will please let us know when we can be of any help to you and your family. All our Love.
