George Kase Obituary

George Washington Kase, Yupik name Nukall'piaq: Great Hunter, Provider, Prosperous, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2015, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was 26 years old. George was born on Sept. 25, 1988, in Dillingham, Alaska; he grew up in Anchorage and spent time with his family in Dillingham as well. He graduated from Service High School in 2007. George was an intern at Southcentral Foundation's RAISE Program during his high school years and he worked at Southcentral Foundation's Family Wellness Warriors Initiative and Kanakanak Hospital in Dillingham, Alaska. George loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He hunted caribou and moose with his family in Dillingham and was almost always the one who caught the biggest fish while fishing with his family in Homer, Alaska. He loved to cook and give cooking advice to his mom and made comparisons with his dads cooking, saying things like, "don't my ribs taste better than yours?" His love language was cooking for his family and sitting around the dinner table telling stories and remembering the good times. George wrote a report on the Book of Proverbs for his grandpa where he stated: "Proverbs is full of words of Godly wisdom that will increase our incite concerning the actions I should take as a young man; the Godly wisdom and character imparted in me from Proverbs are life lessons that will never leave me." George, you will be forever in our hearts and thoughts, you will be greatly missed. We will laugh and cry and remember the best of times with you. Be at peace and joy with our God. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Abbott Loop Community Church, 2626 Abbott Rd. Anchorage, AK 99507. A potluck will be held after the service at Southcentral Foundation's Gathering Room, 4501 Diplomacy Drive Anchorage, AK 99508.

George was a great kid. Glad I got to know him. Always was a bright spot in the day when he stoped by the office to say hi.
