Hannah Frye Obituary

Hannah Rene Frye, 18, died Aug. 21, 2009, in Anchorage. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Homer's Mariner Theater with a reception after the service from 3 to 6 p.m. in the gym. Hannah was born April 5, 1991, in Homer. Her parents, Cameron and Rebecca Frye, who have lived in Homer since 1979, raised Hannah there along with her five siblings: Bronson, Alissa, Camille, Julie and Brianna. Her brother described her as "the finest little sister any big brother could ever hope to have." "This chaste young woman was deeply content with her life," her family wrote. "She had a soft, gentle smile that started in her eyes and radiated out. Hannah freely expressed her joy of living. When she laughed, she laughed with her whole body. "Hannah overflowed with love for her family, for this earth and its creatures, for her dear friends, and most of all, for her God, Jehovah. She chose full-time volunteer missionary service as one of Jehovah's Witnesses as her life's work. This was her goal ever since she was young. She spent many hours in door-to-door Bible education work sharing good news about God's Kingdom with everyone she met. "Hannah had full faith in God's promise to bring his faithful ones back to life on a peaceful, paradise earth (Job 14:13-15; John 5:28, 29; Psalms 37:10, 11, 29). Her friends and family truly draw strength from these and similar scriptures as they adjust to her temporary absence in their lives. (Revelation 21:3, 4). "Hannah wrote this poem when she was 13 and it expresses well her love and innermost appreciation for life and her creator: 'A wave of cascading wonder engulfs you; As you contemplate Jehovah's profound wonders; Coupled with a sincere awe and appreciation for all these blessings set before you; Like a grand banquet calling your name; You whisper a silent prayer that is carried away with a sweet breeze; Floating on forever; Always remembering Jehovah's awe-inspiring glory.' " The family wishes to thank all of the many friends and family who have been so very supportive in their time of grief. Dear Frye Family and Hannah,
We are grieving with you, all here in the Israel congregations too...just to see our dear young sister reminds me of our new song number 89; "Jehovah's Appeal...Be Wise And Make My Heart Rejoice." She will encourage us all right up to the time when we will meet her again.
Your fine faith and strength has also comforted the brotherhood to see your reliance on Jehovah and his promises. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May we all carry on loving the ministry as in the same spirit that Hannah showed.

new song 89

Young men and young woman to give your heart to me,
My foe who now tarns me will then be made to see..your youth and devotion to me you freely give...you show all the world that for me you really live.

Beloved son and precious daughter be wise and make my heart rejoice that out of your own heart you serve me and furnish praise by your own choose.

Rejoice and take pleasure in give me your all,
and thou you may stumble I'll raise you if you fall,
no matter who fails you or proves to be untrue...take comfort in knowing I'll always chariest you

Beloved son and precious daughter, be wise and make my heart rejoice that out of your own choose you serve me and furnish praise by your own choose.

Beloved son and precious daughter,be wise and make my heart rejoice that out of your own choose you serve me and furnish praise by your own choose.

Reading the obituary of Hannah I was moved and the thought that one day her family will see her again in the new world is a great comfort. Hannah life was cut short, but Jehovah has her in his thoughts and one day I along with many others in the faith would like to see Hannah again or for the first time in the new paradise.

I just broke down & cried when I read of my dear beautiful sister! What on earth would we do without Jehovah & the blessing of the resurrection hope? At least now she is safe in Jehovah's memory & Satan & the effects of imperfection can no longer affect her in any way. I know you must still rejoice, as Jehovah did, in the example & record of fine service she set. She made an excellent name for herself with Jehovah.

Dear Frye Family, I was devastated when I read the obit in the newspaper last Monday. It was my first time in Alaska....when I read that Hannah is a sister, I have mourned the loss ever since. My husband and I were in Seward last week and then we came to Homer on Saturday to go to lunch with some relatives. One of the relatives is a 9-1-1 operator near Sterling. She told me about the trajedy and I am so very sorry. I also have daughters and one son. If your situation had happened to me, I would really need to lean on Jehovah to get me through. You raised a wonderful daughter and an excellent servant of Jehovah and she will be missed until the best day--her resurrection! Christian love and support and prayers to you all.

Dear friends,
I received the email of Hannah's obituary. How beautiful she is and
what a credit to her God Jehovah to have such a faithful young servant to keep safe in his memory until the resurrection. I have a "resurrection file" where I will keep my printed copy along with the many other loved ones and friends that I look so forward to seeing.
Hannah died on the same day as my dear brother, so I will always think of her when I do him. May Jehovah continue to comfort you all.
Sincerely, your sister in the faith, C. Dickerson, Mtn. Home, Ar.

Dearest Becky, Cam and whole Frye family,

We are so saddened by the loss of your darling Hannah. I remember her birth because we were in Homer visiting.

It was so encouraging to see you at the Convention, though I'm sure that it was difficult.

I am so thankful that we have the hope of the resurrection. Alyssa put it best... "we are waiting until she wakes up again."

May you continue to lean on Jehovah and your dearest friends for strength and comfort.

Warm Christian Family Love,

Cameron, Rebecca, and Frye family I was sorry to hear of your loss... Though I have been gone from Homer for several years I have not forgotten the special gift of joy and love your family shares with everyone they meet.
Rebecca, you are so much like your mother, she was a blessing to me & my daughters through her gift of piano lessons early in their lives and your father a joy to sit with during those lessons, filled with wonderful stories and full of pride for each of you. When I think of you and your family I remember the warm smiles and loving thoughts you shared with everyone during good & difficult times. Cam & Rebecca my prayers are with you all during this difficult time - knowing she is at peace with her God is a blessing in itself.
