What a gentle heart Mr. Pearson had. To come to Alaska was a blessing to us that lived there. Lots of memories growing up in Nome with he and his family as our pastors. Confirmation with Cynthia Awanona, the Towner twins, Bobby Savok, Danny Fonndel, and so many more, then Bible camp where I had my spiritual birthday. These times were important milestones in my young life there with him and his family. What a wonderful family, used by God, and living in one of the coldest places in Alaska. Lillian was the ultimate picture of a Godly woman, a smile that was sincere and encouraging. She had a laugh that showed she liked humor. I can go on and on. KICY and the Pearson's were a light brought there by God, that is undeniable. More personally, I had the honor of living with this family when I needed a secure, happy place, because of them my steps in my life brings me to now, with grown children of my own, with faith in God who guided me because I had influence from them. I always think of Hank and Lillian often and prayed for them and saw them every chance they came to Chicago. I see their children just as I see you them, bringing light to this world, in their footsteps. I thank God I still can call Gordy, have all my married life called Lill and Hank when I was homesick or needed encouragement. Thank you God for Hank and his family. With my love and respect, Ada

Lillian, Gordy, Kathy & Danny&Families; Thinking of you in prayers.Paster Pearson''s introduction in the Nome Covenant Church, one of the first summers our mom&dad assigned me and older sister, June, to live at home, is quite memorable. Mrs' Pearson,Doyle,McIver,Carlson,Bruckner,DeVries invited all attending a Sunday 11a.m.serrvice, to a fellowship gathering for an afternoon luncheon at Gleason HaLL,the Wednesday after school was on break. June left for her work, early and I was in the fifth grade. I was up when she left, she said"Tween, remember to attend the noon luncheon". It so happened, before the vacation started, my teacher gave me a bottle of powered face/acne stuff and a paper back "Black Beauty". During time reading,O my gosh...it's 1:20pm.I took their of make up and, without reading it, I mixed with water and applied it to my legs, put on a mini skirt from Aunt Betsy and ran to Gleason Hall. The place was packed with Nomites. My sister, Kay,Janice and Cheryl McIver were all standing around making thoughtful plans with the Pearson's extended families.I said hi to them. My sister and McIver sisters all replied: go your own way. That was great...on my own. Paster Pearson, Lil, Kathy, Eunace stayed with me. I remarked "This is fun! I put this stuff from my teacher and put it on my legs!" We all laughed. Then, I knew, Pearson's belonged to our home. He officiated very much later in June & Franz Kugekmann's wedding at the church in 1972. It was fun, we took pictures, and we asked Paster Pearson to take a photo of our whole Pederson family. He did, it's still enlighteningly beautiful / peaceful. My age group students: Bachelders, Fondells, Lee's, Ahwinona's,Doyles,Savoks,
Kimiktoaks, Miller's, Wall's, Young's, Hoogendorn's all graduated from Pastor Pearson's Confirmation class. In those early days, it was ALWAYS fun to meet once a week for 2 years with Pearsons at the parsonage Danny was a new born baby and Gordy,Kathy,Kathy F.,Danny F.,Joel B.,Frank M., and I and a whole bunch of others I missed ALL enjoyed the company. Later, after surgery in Anchorage, during the '90's Paster Hank& Lillian visited. It
's a peaceful memory. Heaven, with Paster Pearson joining Mom, Dad and my brothers and sisters is a wonderful place once again i n eternity. RIP from Pederson - Szafran families.

Henry's memory is very sweet in Alaska. Even though he was the top man in ECCAK he was approachable. He was truly a man of God and to me he feared the Lord. He is a good example on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Peace to a man who saw the good in every person he met. He was without predjudice and serviced God with the best he could give. Condolences and the Peace of God be with Lillian and all his family. Thank you for your service to the people of Northwest Alaska, the Interior of Alaska and to Central Alaska. Rest in Peace, Pastor Pearson.
