James STRACHAN

1937 - 2017

James Hugh Strachan, 79, went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 10, 2017. "Red" was born in Corinth, Mississippi on November 14, 1937 to Irene and Sanford Strachan who precede him in death. He was raised in Clint, Texas and graduated Ysleta High School and attended Sul Ross College. He was a farmer in the lower valley and ranched in Presidio County. He loved fishing, playing golf, roping and spending time with his friends and family. He served on Clint ISD school board, Clint Farmers Co-op Board of Directors, was a member of El Paso Masonic Lodge, and El Maida Shrine, President of Lower Valley Livestock Show and volunteered for many other organizations. Red loved the Lord and his church, Bond Memorial United Methodist. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Waynelle, daughters Staci Witte(Jon) and Shanda Giraud(Kevin) and his grandchildren Sydney & Carlie Shea Witte and Kenni & Rankin Giraud. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bond Memorial Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Memorial Service will be held at Bond Memorial Methodist Church 201 McKinney St Clint, TX 79836 at 11 o'clock Monday, February 13, 2017. Mr. Strachan's cremated remains will be scattered at the Alazan Ranch at a later date.
