Joe Ballesteros Obituary
Joe was born on April 16, 1949, in Mexico. Joe served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from June 27, 1967, to June 25, 1971. He later moved to Alaska in 1978. Joe worked in the aviation industry as an air traffic controller. He was a member of PATCO and the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization. Joe especially enjoyed fishing and reading.
Family states: "In memory of our loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and Marine, who loved fishing, spending time with grandchildren and a good cup of coffee. We will miss your warmth, humor, love and dedication to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the United Service Organization at uso.org."
Joe is survived by his wife, Diana Ballesteros; sons, Joseph, Robert and Andrew Ballesteros; daughters-in-law, Abigail and Sarah Ballesteros; sisters, Lucy Leary, Laura Skinner, Lilia Ballesteros and Delores McCray; grandsons, Jared, Mason, Gabriel, Ace, Liam and Andrew Joseph "AJ" Ballesteros; and granddaughter, Natalie Ballesteros. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Esequiel Ballesteros; and mother, Antonia Ballesteros.
Arrangements were made with Janssen's Eagle River Funeral Home, where a memorial service for Joe was held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016.

i am so sorry for your loss. i know that losing a loved one is not easy, but our faith in god's promises can help us get through difficult time like this. i hope you will find confort in god's promise at john 11:24,25 knowing that there is a future for those we have lost in death can be very reassuring
