Dear Carla and Family,
What an amazing man! You are so blessed as a family to have had such a great contributing husband and father. I only met him once, at the funeral of your mom. I will forward this to Betty Spencer and Margreta, though they likely already have it. Jennifer Spencer sent it to me.
I pray you will be cmforted in his loss and be able to continue with his great legacy. If you ever end up in this end of the woods again I could love to have a visit. Love Elizabeth Olsen
ps . Hurry up, I"m 86!!

A true gentleman, who made everyone he came in contact with feel like a long-time friend. Anderson family, my heartfelt condolences. What a privilege to have known him, and what an honor to continue to call his sons my friends. Hockey introduced us, but it was everyday life in the wonderful town of Soldotna that cemented the relationships. Thank you Nels for a life so well-lived, benefiting all of us who were lucky enough to have lived in the same area code! Thank you, sir...rest in peace!
Thank you, Dr. Anderson!

We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Nels Anderson. After several unsuccessful IVF attempts overseas, my wife and I were convinced we would always be a childless couple. Little did we realize that there was a doctor named Nels Anderson here in Alaska practicing IVF only a few hours drive from our home in Anchorage. After three failed IVF attempts with Dr. Anderson, we were encouraged to not give up hope on having a child. On the fourth attempt, we were successful, and on January 18, 2012, Dr. Mark Richey helped us to welcome our beautiful baby girl, Madeleine Leah Brill into the world. Madeleine is now a thriving 3rd grade student at Pacific Northern Academy in Anchorage. This was only made possible due to the tenacious efforts of Dr. Nels Anderson, and his unwavering desire to help us to become parents. Dr. Anderson, we are forever indebted to you for your incredible skill and knowledge which resulted in birth of our daughter. May you rest in peace.
Forever gratefully yours,
Walter and Alison Brill

Dear Carla and family,
My sympathy to each of you.
I sometimes saw Dr. Anderson tending his gladioli on Marydale.
Dr. Nelson treated our student from Russia for inactive TB; this was the best thing that we did for her while she was here.

Doc was an extraordinary man. He was very considerate, knowledge was his greatest talent. He was so much more. And by the way, He saved my life. I could not find a way to repay him, as I did, I just became more in debt to him. I am so sad that he has left this world for now. His family was and is so special, I know it will be hard for them to continue without him. He was one of the very best.
forever my best Michael Merket
