Jonathan Ferguson Obituary
He was born Oct. 14, 2004, at Alaska Regional Hospital.
The family invites friends and family members to celebrate Jonathan's life with us at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kings Way Ministry, 10336 Eagle River Loop Road in Eagle River.
Jonathan attended Eagle River Christian School.
He loved riding his bike, playing with his car and anything that had to do with the outdoors. Jonnie was always there with a smile and a hug. He earned the title of "family jokester" because of his playful ways and quick wit.
Jonathan is survived by his parents, Adam and Katherine Ferguson; siblings, Megan, Emilie and Benjamin; grandparents, Bryan and Heidi Ferguson and David and Ann Frenzel; great-grandparents, Keith and Betty Ferguson and Arnold and Norma Link; aunts and uncles, Matt and Season Frenzel, Jesse and Kristin Ferguson, and Lacee Ferguson; and cousins, Aaron, Amanda and Brendon Frenzel, and Tanner and Alissa Ferguson. Jonathan had more than 35 great aunts and uncle and cousins too numerous to list who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial account has been set up at Northrim Bank for donations. Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel is handling the arrangements.

Always know that God is with you and Jonathan. We are all blessed for having him in our lives. Bergen stated that Jonathan was his "first friend" and will always remember the fun they had together in school. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss.

I do not know your family but want to add my deepest sympathies for the sorrow your family is suffering. I do know that every child is a child of God, and every person has a purpose. Sometimes little people fulfil their purpose much sooner than it takes the rest of us, and God calls them home too soon. I know that when our loved ones pass on before us, that we sometimes receive special blessings in our lives to help make up for that loss. I don't know whether it's God's expression of sympathy to us, or if it's our loved one's way of sending a message that he is watching over us---but this I know, if you keep your hearts and minds open you will recognize these special blessings from time to time. Your family and your selves are better for having had this child. I pray that the grief and any regrets will soon be overridden by the gratitude and love you have for this child. God bless all of you richly as you work together through this very difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the Ferguson family. My son-in-law responded to the accident (Chugiak Volunteer Fire Dept)and although we have not met, my heart and the hearts of those that responded are broken. I know that God now holds your little man in the palm of His hand. My prayers are with you.

My prayers are with the entire family, my heart goes out to everyone during this difficult time. I only met Jonnie briefly but the smile and joy he bought to all around him was needed that day.
