Joyce Strain Obituary
Joyce retired from Providence Hospital, where she had worked in food service for 24 years.
Joyce loved her family, camping, fishing, and planning and building her new home.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Patrick Strain; children, Tammie (Scott) Mischel, Shawn Strain and Amanda (Pete) Davis; grandchildren, Jacob Mischel, Savannah Mischel and Jordyn Jean Davis; great-grandchild, Luke Mischel; parents, Clayton and Jean Duval; brothers, Chuck Duval, David Duval, Ron Duval, Larry Duval, Doug Duval, Roger Duval and Rich Duval; and sisters, Chris Roane and Diane Duval.
Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Duval.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at O'Malley's on the Green, 3651 O'Malley Road, Anchorage, AK 99507.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.gofundme.com Strain and Duval family. Any extra money will be donated to a charity in honor of Joyce.
"Joyce was kind, loving, extraordinary, a wonderful mother, exceptional grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend."
Arrangements were entrusted to Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home.
