My Deepest Condolences to The Loved ones Both Millie & Billy left behind. Although your pain & sorrow are immeasurable, have Faith that the Lord knew what he was doing, & that Millie & Billy are, once again, together, happy, whole, pain free, & safe in the arms of God as well as ALL of the Family who have passed before them! Imagine the Happy Potlatch going on in Heaven right now!!! The loss of these two is not just the loss of their Family, or the Alaskan Native people.....it is truly a HUGE loss to both the State of Alaska AND the History of the United States itself. Between them, they have done unimaginable things to help Non-Natives understand the Native Culture, and, according to my Father, (a white guy who served in the Aleutian Campaign), had it NOT been for the Native Scouts & Castner's Cutthroats, "us white guys would have died the first week out there....& NOT at the hands of the Japanese! Had it not been for those Natives, the elements would have likely killed us off, & may well have changed the course of WWII itself." With the greatest Love, Respect, & Sympathy to Millie, Billy AND their families.....Tsin'aen & God Bless. Judy Block (& my Late Father, 1st Lt. Robt. B. Block, US Army, retired)

My heart is heavy that Millie passed and we will no longer have her wisdom, however the impact she made in life will carry on for a long time! Millie and I were friends from our old JOM years and was blessed to have called her my friend. I then lived in Dillingham, Alaska. RIP

Millie Buck and my Mom, Virginia Pete worked together at CRNA working on the language of the Ahtna Koht'aene! She gave alot of her time in getting the Ahtna Noun Dictionary published! She spoke the language with such ease and pronunciation was awesome! I remember traveling with them a few times and we always had an awesome time with her and Loretta! I remember she ate lots of bananas!! R.I.P. Millie Buck! Love you and I do miss those days!!

My sweet Aunt Millie suffers no more as she rushes to the waiting arms of Jesus and her husband Billy Buck. I thank the lord he let me have her for my aunt, I have always been so proud of her and all she accomplished while working so hard for her people, and paving the way for our young people. Aunt Millie was a strong person that didn't know the words " I can't ". She will be missed by many people and relatives all over. I miss you my dear Aunt, Godspeed!

Aunt Millie was so precious!!! Her and my late Grandmother Mabel Hash were very close. Aunt Millie and Uncle Billy would come to Palmer and visit often. I loved hearing their stories and watching (listening) to them while they were visiting.
