Myrtle Alma Lamond, 86, of Palmer, Alaska, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at her home (Palmer Pioneer Home). Myrtle came to live with us for about 3 months before starting her ministry in Alaska. I was 10 years old. She was a delight to be around and I learned a lot from her. We were able to come up to Palmer in the '90's and had a delightful time as she showed us her Alaska. She hinted I should move, but after several references of being stuck in 50 below weather...well I stayed in California. I wish I could sit and talk with her today. Miss you

Myrtle has been a dear friend since her days at Miami Bible School, in the late 50's. I have followed her missionary career since she first went to work with Woody (I can't remember the location. -- An age problem on my part.)(Had two wonderful visits with her; first at Ivanof Bay and then in Palmer. Loved the late night phone calls and her sweet, sincere friendship. So blessed to have known her and have a share in her ministry.
Will miss her like a sister. God bless you Myrt! Will see you when God calls me, too. Love you. Betty S.

Myrtle Lamond, a beloved friend, and a mentor to my wife Mickey during Mickey's high school years in Hollywood, Florida. Myrtle took Mickey to Bible Study and was instrumental in bringing Mickey to salvation in our Lord and Savior. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Myrtle. In 1974, during my courtship of Mickey, her evident love of Jesus, lead me to re-dedicate my life to Jesus and we were married on August 4, 1974. Mickey, my wife of 34 years, 3 months and 25 days, has been with the Lord since November 29, 2008 and both are now sharing in the glory of God our Father.

Enjoy your reward Miss Myrt. You leave a great legacy.

Beautiful service. Myrtle's dedication to the lord and to everyone she came in contact with was apparent in the stories heard today. Phyl
