Paul Vasquez Obituary
Paul grew up in Phoenix and, after high school, enlisted in the United State Army to become a radar and an electronics instructor.
He was honorably discharged on April 30, 1981, after 21 years of Active Duty.
Paul met the love of his life, Elizabeth, in Anchorage while stationed at Fort Richardson. They were happily married on February 4, for 51 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching sports and game shows while spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth of Wasilla, Alaska; his son, Paul Vasquez III; daughter, Christina Sanchez and Ronnie Sanchez, both of Anchorage and Nicole Vasquez of Wasilla; his mother, Delia Clements; brother, Frank Montenegro; and sister, Diane Schwartz of Phoenix, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Crystal Vasquez Perea, Candice andJacob Sanchez and Carissa Vasquez; his great-grandchildren, Devyne and Daceon; and his many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maria Coronado; and brother, Samuel Vasquez.
Services will be held on June 15, 2017, at Legacy Funeral Home - Heritage Chapel, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with burial to follow at Fort Richardson National Cemetery on June 16, 2017, at 9 a.m.

Dear Upa,
First off i would like to thank you for everything. You were beyond,beyond appreciated.
You taught me more that i could ever begin to explain. Your wisdom and guidance will be cherished and utilized for the rest of my life.
The unconditional love that you emitted to everybody was so beautiful and such a blessing.
I admire your strength and you were always our rock. You always took care of us. Im going to miss all of your stories and theories and concepts and facts. You were always so willing to share them .
