Mr. Ulrich was the BEST! As I sit down and try to play Christmas music, I remember how he made us think we were also excellent! He was such a strong influence on all of us. Some of us were lucky enough to have had him as a choir director at Bolich Junior High AND at Cuyahoga Falls High School. He was TREMENDOUS!!! God bless his family and all his ex-students!

I graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1967. My. Ulrich is the only teacher I remember from my school days. He was truly an inspiration to me. We had to try out for the a cappella choir and the small sub-groups he formed. He had my utmost respect. I remember when he came to CFHS he was following in the footsteps of a very popular choir director and he was, at first, not well received. But he was the only director I had at high school and I really adored him. I am truly sorry for your loss. I’m in my 70’s now and will not have much time left but I had to tell SOMEONE that I thought Mr. Ulrich was a wonderful teacher. Blessings to your family.

Mr. Ulrich was such a wonderful man. He influenced so many students, bringing out the best in all of us through music and through his sincere caring for each and everyone of us. He was always there to guide us, to cheer us, and to light up our days with the twinkle in his eyes. Thank you, Mr. Ulrich. Memories of you will remain in our hearts forever. CFHS student, class of '75.

I was also a student of Mr. Ulrich's and well remember "Kiss Me Kate" and other fun and fabulous music endeavors he directed. Was fortunate to have been acquainted with him!

A beautiful life enjoyed by Peter and those close to him including his students. May you all cherish the memories and look to a time when God will "wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more..."

Pete and Irene were a lovely inspiration to all who knew them of a life shared in music. I have been so proud to call him "Maestro" and mentor for all these years. To have experienced his genuine interest and joy over my career as a professor and choral director every single time I visited him is an indication of how much he cared for each of his students. A man of such humility too, given how great his gifts were and how many people he influenced. And what an enviable memory he posessed! Not that he was entirely perfect, however - anyone who sang under him will remember more than a few choice quotes ("Quote me and I'll deny it.") Mr. Ulrich, "ol' PU", you will be greatly missed and thought of every time we hear "O Magnum Mysterium". Requiem aeternum, and thank you. May all of Pete and Irene's family feel comfort and peace. When I think of High School, I think of Mr. Ulrich. My most cherished High School memories are of Glee Club, A Capella Choir and preforming in the annual school musicals. It was his love of music, teaching and the students that inspired all of us to do our best and to have fun doing it. I will never forget that deep booming voice, the way his eyes twinkled and that boyish grin of his. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Ulrich family. The world has lost a dear and wonderful man.

I was so sorry to learn about the loss of Peter, but I'm sure he and Renie had a glorious reunion. Pete was my favorite cousin, he always enjoyed sharing a new joke. I loved listening to him and my mother, Evelyn, tell stories of growing up together. After my Mom passed, Peter would always tell me we were the last of clan. My heart goes out to his family, he was a very special man.

Peter Ulrich was an amazing inspiration for all who studied under his guidance. I was fortunate to be his student at Bolich Junior High and at CFHS Class of 1966. Rest In Peace Peter. You will be sorely missed but forever remembered.

CFHS Class of 1969 felt a special bond with Mr. Ulrich because he was our teacher from 7th grade at Bolich Jr. High all the way to graduation in '69. It was an honor to be his student and I will never, ever forget him.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Ulrich directing the Cuyahoga Falls High School musicals. I had the good fortune of being a dancer in his productions of "Oklahoma", "Kiss Me Kate" and "Carousel" in the mid-70's. His genuine passion for music and teaching made the entire cast form a unique bond. He raised the bar and expected the best. The caliber of the Falls High School musicals were fabulous because of Mr. Ulrich.
My deepest sympathy is extended to your family.

He was my mentor, my director and most of all the inspiration for my musical aspirations. (But most of the time, I exasperated him to the max!) Whenever a password requires "Your Favorite Teacher" it's always been Pete Ulrich. I think of him often and fondly...and will remember him for his passion for music and his students. RIP

I had such admiration and respect for Mr. Ulrich. He was a wonderful teacher and an inspiration. I wrote to him 25 years out of high school and he responded right away and said things that let me know he remembered exactly who I was. I'll never forget this dear man.

Dear Ulrich family,
Mr. Ulrich was my choir director for 6 years, moving from Bolich to Falls along with many of us. Many many of my fondest memories are of my time in choir - Christmas concerts, and a number of musicals. I am grateful to have a director who cared so much, and yet walked with a big stick. (I was always getting into trouble for talking!)
I am so sorry for your loss but I am thankful that you and we his students had the opportunity to know this fine man for many years. Be at peace.

My daddy was my inspiration, my teacher, my hero. His former students would for decades after graduation call on him, and credit him for the role model he was and talk about how deeply he touched their lives. His sense of humor was endless and his personality infectious. His love and friendship for his bride, my mother was matched by no two people I have ever known. Together they gave me what I needed to know and how to show that love to my children. And although just last week Julie was with him and he hadn't changed much from Easter when I last saw him, if I know my mom, she reached down, grabbed him by the arm and said "alright Pete, I'm tired of waiting, let's go!"

Mrs Ulrich was my 6th grade teacher at Silver Lake School when we moved back to Ohio, and Mr Ulrich was my Glee Club teacher in High School. Both wonderful people! May they enjoy eternity together !

Children today should be so lucky as to have someone in school like Mr. Ulrich to share his love of music. He inspired even those of us who couldn't sing well.
