Ruby Cook

1927 - 2016

COOK, Ruby, age 88, of West Carrollton, passed away on February 5, 2016. Ruby was born to the late Fred and Carrie (Jude) McCoy on February 22, 1927 in Beauty, KY. She attended Bethel Baptist Church and loved to babysit in their nursery. Ruby enjoyed reading her bible and was a kindhearted soul who never met a stranger. She loved to collect gifts from her friends and truly cherished them. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Cook; son, Clinton and her parents. She is survived by daughters, Diana Barber and Brenda Ralston; sons Rick and Fred Cook; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters and 2 brothers, and her loving church family. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Dayton for the wonderful care they provided to Ruby and them as well. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church, 434 Wilson Park Dr., West Carrollton officiated by Pastor Joseph Shihady. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
